Photo post: Hong Kong

Oh God.

Its been two months again since I wrote on another post. I don't know... maybe it's the fact that writing a long, vivid post seems like a lot of work to do, and in my mind its like: "Oh god, not another post...!". So this time its a little something different. I'm only going to do something like a photo post this time , where there will be only photos, and little descriptions, you know, something like Facebook. You know what they say: A picture speaks more than a thousand words.

Hong Kong:

Room service at Holiday Inn...expensive stuff!
One of the famous eight markets... The Garden market.
The goldfish market... where fish are sold in cute little bags like these!

A wet day in HK....
Visiting an authentic British-influenced HK café
Enjoying pineapple butter buns and milk tea

Warm tea on a rainy day...!

Translate please?
The famous HK egg custard tarts
Exotic specialties at the meat market...Yum!
Sad life...The guy doesn't even get to eat at his job!
A crowded street...
The beautiful skyline of Hong Kong city

One of the most pretty dumplings I have ever seen...!
Watermelon in a bottle...

My sister and my lovely guide dining.

My cooking class at the Wing Wah pastry shop... the highly experienced chefs making mooncake dough.

Lotus seed mooncakes in preparation...
Mooncakes and Egg rolls

Wishing cards... Wow!

A deliciously soft dessert made of silken tofu soaked in ginger syrup

Balls of sweet rice and white and black sesame...YUM!

The fishing village of Tai O
Dried egg yolks and anchovies...
I don't really remember... was it dried bladder or dried sea sponges?

Dried fish on the grill...

Women of the world,  rejoice!
OK ladies, so it was 20 HKD for a snack... said too soon!
Dried flowers and citrus... make you strong!

Bye-bye HK!

  2. Wow! How lovely Amay! You have such a great sense of humor and really captured the essence of HK – I felt like I was there; seeing, smelling, tasting everything with you!
I loved your joke in the pic taken ‘Husband 20HKD’ and you comment: “Woment of the world rejoice”!! to then say you realized it was a “snack” very funny.
Great blog, keep up the great work young man!
